I   GUIDANCE/COUNSELING

All students will take one compulsory, but non-examined, Tutorial period per week.

II  COURSES PROGRAMME & REQUIREMENTS

FIRST YEARS

  1. All First Year students will take: English Language, Literature, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Spanish, Social Studies, Computer, Physical Education and three of the following vocational subjects: Agriculture, Art, Clothing and Textiles, Food and Nutrition, Technical Drawing, and Woodwork.
  2. At the end of the First Year, each student will be required to pass English Language and six other subjects.

SECOND YEARS

  1. All Second Year students will take: English Language, Literature, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Spanish, Physical Education, Social Studies, Computer and three of the following vocational subjects (not the same as those taken in First Year): Agriculture, Art, Clothing and Textiles, Food and Nutrition, Technical Drawing, and Woodwork.
  2. At the end of the year, each student will be required to pass English Language and six other subjects.

THIRD & FOURTH YEARS

Science Options

At the end of the year, each student must pass English Language and five other subjects

Business Options

At the end of the year, each student must pass English Language and five other subjects

Arts Options

At the end of the year, each student must pass English Language and five other subjects

Technical Options

At the end of the year, each student must pass English Language and five other subjects

III   FAILED

Students who fail the requirements of the school may repeat the school year.

IV  REPEATING

A student is allowed to repeat only once.  In other words, a student must complete the high school program in not more than five years.

Repeating, however, is not automatic and will be allowed only on the recommendation of staff, on whether the student is likely to benefit from repeating and on the availability of space.
