• Students wishing to enter the First Form of the Belmopan Comprehensive school must have completed Standard 6 and taken the Belize Primary School Examination (BPSE).  Preference is given to students who come from our catchment area, i.e. those who live within Belmopan and the surrounding villages within a fifteen-mile radius of Belmopan.  Students from beyond the catchment area may be accepted if their parents work or live in Belmopan.
  • The cutoff point for admission is not a fixed percentage, but it varies from year to year depending on the number of places available and the overall performance of the students who sit the PSE examination in a particular year.  The process of selection begins with the student who has the highest percent and going down until the available places are filled.  It is only at that point that a cut-off percentage is arrived at.
  • Application Forms must be completed and submitted, along with a birth certificate and a transcript or the latest report card, by the deadline set by the Principal.  The Principal will also consider recommendations made by Primary School Principals.
  • Students wishing to transfer from other High Schools are admitted provided that space is available and that they meet admission requirements.  Such students must also complete and submit an application form, along with a birth certificate, a transcript and a letter of recommendation from the Principal of the previous school, by the deadline set.  Only students who are passing are considered, as space is not available for repeaters.
  • In all cases where non-Belizean students are applying for admission, evidence of residence status must be submitted along with the other documents mentioned above.
  • All applicants are informed by letter of the outcome of their application.  Successful applicants must then complete the process of registration if they accept the offer of a place.  Acceptance of the offer of a place and registration constitute acceptance by the parents and student of the policies, rules and regulations of the school.
  • ALL students, whether First, Second, Third or Fourth Formers, must register before the beginning of a school year.  Parents are informed in writing of the schedule of registration and fees that must be paid.
  • Students must be single and living with parents or legal guardians.  Students cannot have cohabited or cohabiting.  (Exemptions may be made under the policy dealing with Pregnancy/ Parenthood).
  • Students should be 16 years or below for admission to first year.
